Shipping policy

 

Orders are processed within 1 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email, unless otherwise stated on the product page or your purchase is a pre-order.

You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. Supply and delivery issues may adversely affect delivery times, in which case the East Gate Bookshop Ltd will endeavor to keep you informed.

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout and are dependent on the Royal Mail Service you choose. Subscription prices are inclusive of shipping.

Local delivery

Free local delivery is available for orders within Totnes and Bridgetown.

We will contact you via text message with the phone number you provided at checkout to notify you when your purchase will arrive.

In-store pickup

You can also skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our Totnes shop. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 2 business days unless otherwise stated on the product page or your purchase is a pre-order. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.

Our in-store pickup hours are 9:30am - 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11am - 3pm Sunday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

International Shipping

We do not offer international shipping routinely however if you have a special request please email us at info@eastgatebookshop.co.uk

Your order may then be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. The East Gate Bookshop Ltd is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us. If you haven’t received your order within 5 days business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@eastgatebookshop.co.uk with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.
