This beautiful calendar showcases 12 evocative prints by rural Cambridgeshire-based artist Andy English. Andy's work developed from a lifelong habit of making detailed observational drawings, which led him to the exacting art of wood engraving. Wildlife, gardens and landscapes feature strongly in his work, and bees and birds often inhabit the prints, which are printed using a Victorian handpress and have been used in book illustrations and postage stamps, as well as for exhibition. Fascinating words form the artist himself accompany each work and the datepad features previous and next month’s views. Printed on FSC-certified paper, with plastic-free packaging.
